Our Mission

It’s All About Jesus! We love God. We love people. We reach the lost. We make disciples.

Our Beliefs

THE GOSPEL

God created everything and He made everything good. He created mankind in His image and set the perfect standard for man to live by. Failing to live according to God’s perfect standard is called sin. The Bible tells us that all mankind has sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That our natural condition is to be in rebellion against God. The consequence of this sin is death and the eternal wrath of God. That through our sin we are storing up wrath against ourselves for the day that God’s righteous judgment is revealed. This is the reality for every human being, and there is nothing we can do in our own power to change it. That is the bad news, but now for the Good News! God made a way for us to be made right with Him, to be forgiven of all our sin, made righteous, and a new creature. This is Salvation or to be “Saved”. We are saved from the wrath of God that we deserve because of our sin. God sent Jesus to pay the price for our sin and die in our place, but it doesn’t stop there. God raised Jesus from the dead showing that He has power over sin and death and He now sits on the throne in Heaven! The way that we as sinful humans get access to this amazing forgiveness is by repenting of our sin and believing in Jesus. It is by grace alone (meaning you can’t do anything to earn it), through faith alone (meaning total belief and surrendering to Jesus), in Christ alone (meaning no one and nothing else has the power to save). God not only removes our sin, but makes us brand new in Christ—He gives us a new heart, a new mind, new motives, and new desires to please our Lord Jesus. As a true Christian, we now want to and strive to, live in obedience to God and become more like Jesus. This is what it means to be saved. This is the Gospel of Jesus! (Romans 3:236:232:51 John 1:92 Corinthians 5:17Ephesians 2:8-9)

THE BIBLE

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life, and inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-172 Peter 1:20-21Matthew 5:18John 16:12-13).

GOD

We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:42 Corinthians 13:14).

GOD THE FATHER

We believe God the Father is the first Person of the Trinity and He orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and will (1 Corinthians 8:6Ephesians 1:114:6). He is sovereign in creation, providence, and redemption (Romans 11:36). As Christians we are not only servants to a loving Master, but also sons and daughters of a loving Father who loves us (John 3:16), gives us life (John 3:3), rewards us (Hebrews 11:6), gives us good gifts, (James 1:17) and who speaks to us through His Word (John 17:17Ephesians 1:13Colossians 1:51 Thessalonians 2:13). We as believers follow the example of Jesus and submit ourselves to the will of God the Father in all things (Matthew 26:39).

GOD THE SON

We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary as the Messiah in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1–2;14Luke 1:35). We believe that Jesus accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Romans 3:241 Peter 2:24Ephesians 1:71 Peter 1:3–5). We believe that Jesus ascended into Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God as our High Priest (Acts 1:9–10Hebrews 7:25Hebrews 9:24Romans 8:341 John 2:1–2). We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead (1 Peter 4:5Romans 14:92 Timothy 4:1).

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He empowers believers today by indwelling and sealing them as a deposit guaranteeing their inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession (John 16:8–112 Corinthians 3:61 Corinthians 12:12–14Romans 8:9Ephesians 1:13-145:18).

MANKIND

We believe that mankind was created in the image and likeness of God. Genesis 1:27 tells us that God has created each person as a man or a woman. Men and women are made distinctly different, but equal in value, dignity, and worth. God assigns each person as a man or woman at conception, where we see human life begin (Psalm 139:13-14). In marriage, God brings one man and one woman together to complement each other in a one-flesh union (Genesis 2:24). The covenant of marriage establishes the only God-ordained pattern of sexual relations for men and women. Although mankind was made in the image and likeness of God, through Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. Man is sinful and unable to remedy his lost condition apart from accepting the work of Jesus on the cross. (Genesis 1:26-27Romans 3:22-235:12Ephesians 2:1–3;12).

SALVATION

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 2:8–10John 1:12Ephesians 1:71 Peter 1:18–19).

THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ made up of people who have been born again. (Ephesians 1:22-235:25–271 Corinthians 12:12–142 Corinthians 11:2). We believe that the establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:2718:2220:171 Timothy 3:1–3Titus 1:5–11). As part of God’s good created order, men and women are to have different yet complementary roles and responsibilities in the home and church. As it relates to the church, we believe that men and women are both expected to lead and the office of elder is reserved for qualified men (1 Timothy 3:1-7Titus 1:5-9). We believe in the autonomy of the local churches led by Christ (Acts 13:1–415:19–3120:28Romans 16:1,41 Corinthians 3:9, 161 Corinthians 5:4–7, 131 Peter 5:1–4). We recognize believers’ baptism and communion as scriptural means of testimony for the church (Matthew 28:19-20Acts 2:41-42Acts 18:81 Corinthians 11:23–26).
