What to Expect at The Roots

Everyone loves to know what to expect when going to a new place. Here is a brief look at what you can expect when you visit The Roots Community Church.

When & Where

We meet each Sunday in Lacey at 4:00pm.
7945 Steilacoom Rd SE, Olympia, WA 98503

Arrival

Find a place to park anywhere you’d like and head inside! You will be welcomed by our helpful team of greeters at the door who will provide you with information and answer any questions you have.

Kids & Students

We have classes for children and students ages birth – 8th grade on Sundays during service. The goal of every classroom is to provide age-appropriate programs in a safe and fun environment where the kids get to learn about Jesus and His love for them! We also have a family service every first Sunday of the month, where all the kids get to worship Jesus and learn from God’s Word together with their families!

Music

Music is big part of how we worship God. Our worship band plays songs from a variety of musical genres. The song lyrics will be projected on the main screens so you can sing along if you choose. We love to sing loud and lift up the name of Jesus together!

The Message

Every message taught at The Roots has the same three goals: to be God honoring, Jesus-centered, and Biblically based! We teach from the Bible, because we believe that the Bible is God’s word and the source of all Christian practice and belief. If you would like to know more about what we believe as a church, check out our mission and beliefs.

Post-Service

God did not create us to go through life alone – we were designed to be in relationship with one another. After each service, everyone is encouraged to hang out, eat some food, and get to know each other! Who knows, you might even make a new lifelong friendship!
